Pardee has removed Shaw Lorenz from their website, and staffers made it sound like they have postponed construction plans for now:

“Two million for the sound of freedom”. (JtR)

*Chuckle* Doncha mean, “Two million for (future) deafness”, Jim?

And from the Central Coast, I just found this listing. It’s a sure entry for a “What was the Listing Agent Thinking With This Photo Contest”. The listing starts out OK: “Beautiful ranch house in the heart of wine country, near airport…” And then there’s a series of 14 photos to get you to “bite” and come out for a showing.

Yep, nothing “barks” out to “buy me” more than a photo of two dogs (one big, one small) looking sadly at the camera from the corner of one of the carpeted bedrooms. I wish I could copy & paste it for your professional opinion, Jim. After all, you do have 25 years experience…

Rock, thanks for that link. I DEFINETLY echo your suggestion that everyone should check it out.

I came across these guys a couple of days ago and was blown away by the short sale shuffle they described so well and was thinking/hoping to hear Jim’s take on it.

    What say Jim?

The clip at #1 was in the comment section here on Monday, and defines the mood across the country.

All I see everywhere are people trying to take advantage of the situation, and milk the government-sponsored cow for all they can get.

I saw another handful of shady listings go down today. Ethics and morals are long forgotten, people want their piece of the pie.

Look at old what’s-her-name, not only did she not go to jail, she is back fleecing the first time buyers now, working for a flipper.

    “Del Mar Mesa”???

How far can you be from Del Mar and still hang on to the name?

I’d call it Sorrento North or Mira Mesa West.

Thanks for the re-direction Jim. I have been following you vids mostly, I guess I should check here a little more often. Some good discussion from what I can tell.

I am the guy that always posts about running in the nearby canyon. These guys are f’ing bastards for what they have done up there. Probably strung out on meth while working up there.

Anyway, the jets take two routes, one over Torry Pines but also one out to the desert- they cross right over these lots.

Hey jim- you see they put that house up for sale on the 56- historical property….literally RIGHT on the 56. Must have been a paradise before the 56 was built. 1.4M Good luck with that. (I mean good luck to the buyers cuz I know someone will buy it- LOL)

folks at Bridle ridge have said Shaw Lorenz would be built in 5 years.

The access road to 56 on McGonigle Canyon is not a sure thing. Current plans according to Del Mar Mesa Planning Briefs is to consider a dirt road to allow for emergency vehicle access and recreational use.

Used to live in Mira Mesa when I first moved to SD…jets overhead all the time. All. The. Time.

    Camera Suggestion, Jim,

Your camera is probably using contrast to do the autofocus, which is why it fails to focus on the clouds and the sky. If you have a button or switch for infinite focus (an infinite symbol, or maybe an icon of mountains) just throw that switch when needed. That sets the lens so everything beyond 30 ft should be focused just fine, without any lag even. Then you can take those f-16 shots you’ve been dreaming about.

Become? How is Carmel Valley not Agrestic already?
