Were your cabinet refaced? It’s hard to believe how nice the front looks with that particle board floor. The kitchen sink base of my ‘cost effective’ mid 70’s constructed home is the same, pre-repair. My latest pet peeve are the glued p-traps that can’t be opened, needing a plumber to clear a slow draining kids bathroom sink that is probably restricted by all those toothpaste tube caps that they do not know where they went.

oc renter posted that on pigginton in 2008. He sounds like quite the scam artist.
What i don’t get is how Jeneae was able to talk people into letting her keep the $100,000. They just didn’t care? And then what were the buyers thinking?

I have been learning about mold recently. Apparently you should mix the clorox 60/40 with water. That generates some sort of better reaction.

Have you considered a hacksaw and an investment in new fittings?
That’s a radial arm saw. Awesome for certain things, but a table saw is better for large pieces that exceed the reach of the radial arm. Depends on what you’re cutting.

I would hazard a guess that the 20 yr old Makita drill still holds up well compared to more expensive drills that can be bought today. The old drill may still use a cord, but at least you won’t have to worry about running out of power right in the middle of a job.

Thanks! Great job on the cabinet. I think I’m ready to give it a try. Bleach is great but please let it sit longer. Yes, diluting it with water will reduce the evaporation rate and allow it to contact the mold longer…killing more below the surface.
It was a great job in informing other people on how to repair diluted areas of the house without the help of any technicians. it was such a great repair lesson..

Great tip Jim, thanks for sharing that. Got any on how to fix a busted internal pan in my AC air handler in the attic? Got quoted $800 to replace my pan. On that note, got any viedo tips on how to replace a small (2’x1′)portion of a bedroom cieling? The busted ac pan allowed condensate to leak thru the attic floor/bedroom cieling. With a hot summer upon us, this might be of interest to other homeowners who may have also skimped on their annual AC maintenance 🙂
