We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends â in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass â we are forever grateful to them.
Hell just froze over. đ
Seriously… CONGRATULATIONS SHADASH!!!
p.s.: Sweet ride!

That’s what I call a man of action!
Congratulations on your house. Who knew Shadash was so adorable. Please feature him in more videos!
Wow! Congrats on your new place Shadash!
Nice place & great price!
Well done.
Better than Rancho Bernardo by a mile, eh?
I can’t believe it! Congratulations, Shadash!
And the Realtor who represented you? To get a $10K credit from the bank on a REO, sweet! There’s just no one else who goes to bat for their clients like JtR…
Thank you everyone for all the nice comments. The house is great. Everyone who sees it loves it and every time I walk through the door I feel more and more at home.
I’d like to reiterate that Jim (and Donna + Team) all did a great job getting/keeping the deal together.
Finding a realtor that will tell you what they think you want to hear is not hard to do. Finding a realtor that is honest, respectful, and knowledgeable is what I was looking for. Jim met and surpassed on all levels.
If you work with Jim one thing you’ll notice is that everyone he recommends or works with all say thing “he’s their favorite realtor”. I have a feeling it’s partially because he gets a lot of deals through but I think it’s also because he’s simply good at what he does and people respect that.
Thank You Jim + Team for all your hard work.
And BTW clawing 10k back from the bank was awesome! đ
Congrats! Who was the inspector you used?
Awesome, congrats!
HOLY CRAP NICE GOING! Good choice…I remember you were looking at Poway and I think this is a much better location for the money.
#9,
The purpose of this blog is to demonstrate my services and expertise so you will hire me to be your realtor, not to scrape as much free stuff as you can and go do it with someone else.
When you are ready, contact me and we’ll get to work!
Congrat’s Shadash!
“Good things come to those who wait”.
BTW I am so bloody jealous of the wheels. My long boards would fit just nicely sticking out the back seat.
& now a place to store your long necks and cured meats! You’ve made it mate!
Well done JTR.
Congrats Shadash. I love it when the well educated, ‘hardcore holdouts’ make the jump and are A) happy with their selection and B) glad they waited till the time was right relative to their view of the world.
Enjoy
Congratulations on finding a special home in a great location. I lived up the hill on Wilson St. for 2 years while looking for my house. That is a wonderful neighborhood! I have enjoyed Shadash’s patient search for a home, and I hope that he has many years of great living in this home!
OK, curiosity’s got the best of me. Now that negotiations are over, just how many counters were there in the negotiations? –if you don’t mind sharing, shadash. Seriously, 14 others offers and you and JtR prevailed…
Shadash – that’s awesome!!
Jim and Shadash – both very patient. Great that it all came together in price, interest rate, location and house. Very good deal! Great that you were able to get 10k credit after the inspection.
Hey – I really LOVE that cool old fridge! Where did you score that? Oh, man. Love the car, too. I am jealous. Need to get a black plate on it.
Gives me hope that my patience will be similarly rewarded.
Good job finding that house. You could make that really nice- the frig is a good start!
Congrats!
Congrats Shadash! The first line of the first comment here was what jumped immediately to my mind when I read the title. đ
Good Job JtR and Grats Shadash.
My dads best friend was a doctor in the 60’s who owned a corvair. It probably looked just like that one…sweet, sweet, car!
@12 JTR Is it not OK to ask the name of the inspector that you complimented in the vid?
Do you think this is one big giveaway?
Would you like me to wash your car too? Shine your shoes?
I guess it’s my own fault that I don’t make this more of a sales pitch – I’ll try to do better. BUt yes, I’m here to sell houses, and want to be your realtor. If you want the full package, then contact me and we’ll get to work.
In the meantime, this is what I have to put up with, in case it isn’t obvious.
After five years I get tired of all the personal attacks, and start deleting comments and black-listing people who insist on coming after me and disrupting my ability to conduct business here.
100+ people black-listed so far.
I have to endure people who comment here, enjoy my hard work, and even compliment me on my expertise. Then they go hire another realtor without giving me a shot.
Then lately some of those people have felt so bold that they’ve come back to the blog and rubbed my nose in it, boasting here how they were able to buy or sell without JtR.
Am I sensitive about it? You better believe it – I don’t like it one bit.
Sorry I must be missing something. I’ve seen you recommend different services before and when #9 asked the name it seemed innocent. Based on the comments in the vid he appeared to go above and beyond other inspectors. I didn’t read it as trying to attack you. It is hard to know who to trust and if JtR endorses a service it is probably worth a try. I would take it as a compliment rether than an attack.
One day I’m gonna get back to the west coast. When I do, a major reason to consider San Diego over other places would be the presence of JtR to get me a house at a decent price. I’ve learned more about the practicalities of buying and selling houses from this blog than any other source. JtR is the man, and proof that someone can do well in an often seamy business while not losing his soul.
JtR – FWIW, I appreciate all your videos and if I were looking to buy up in your hood, you’d be the guy I’d go to.
I understand you help so many people and it can be downright thankless when the sale goes to other realtors.
At a certain point, some information should be kept to yourself. I myself inquired about inspectors before and after the fact, realized why would someone divulge all this information?
Anyone reading this, Jim spends countless, endless hours videoing properties and providing information. The least buyers and sellers could do is use him as a realtor and know that they will get great service, and be assured they will have the best inspectors, etc.
Congratulations Shadash!
Thank you Josie!
#24 – I know you are probably just baiting me here but I’ll bite.
Agreed, the question wasn’t an attack on me. But how much do you expect me to give here?
I pointed out all the other gruff I have to take, which is enough to shut down this blog. I could be spending my same hours generating business elsewhere, but I choose to do it here to help all learn more about what is happening on the street.
I have always figured that I won’t get them all, and I’m OK with that. But to have people taking advantage of the free information here and then not only blatantly NOT using my services, but then rubbing my nose in it, is way out of line.
Shadash helped talk me off the ledge, because I was going to shut down bubbleinfo and move on. Instead, he pointed out how I could offer a combo open/closed format, and that’s what is in the works.
Jim – that’s a good compromise. I’d hate to see you shut your blog down completely. But I’m sure serious buyers would sign up and take advantage of what you have to offer.
P.S. Yes I have given out other vendors, but not the critical people so you can bypass me.
It’s because I do spend a lot of my time managing this blog – with no advertisng or other income, other than hoping people will contact me when they want to buy or sell a house. I am grateful that many do – thank you to them.
But it is mind-boggling that there are now dozens of people who have told me that they appreciate the education I have given them over the last year or two, and now they are going to use a different realtor.
They are opting for inferior service, but something they make up in their head tells them that it’s better to go elsewhere.
I don’t get it, and I don’t like it, but it is part of the society we live in.
Jim, don’t let those types of people get you down. Those are the folks who would make awful clients. Good attracts good, and I hope you see that in the quality of clientele you keep. Let the crappy people have the crappy agents!
All the best,
BAM
Not baiting. Simply didnât understand which pieces (inspector) were hands off and which were available.
I get that this is a marketing tool for you and imagine that it is effective.
It does make sense that the contrarians that enjoy following you would also think that they donât need you. Your candor attracts people fed up with the real estate industry and ironically offers service to them.
