This house looks like a mild cosmetic fixer, but I think you could spend $100,000 to $200,000 fairly easily on repairs/improvements. Will the half-acre be a hindrance, or a positive?

Good indoor/outdoor connection with all those windows and glass doors. Also, at least on the video, the chirping of the birds is much louder than the traffic.
I really hate the kitchen, not because of the finishes, but because of all those rounded corners. It feels like swimming through a gigantic intestine. I don’t mind the outer rounded counters so much, but the rounded island is just bizarre.
Gigantic intestine? Naw, I think the kitchen looks more like a spaceship. Not sure how to fix it but it would be an automatic disqualification from the wife.
Same goes the bleached cabinets, I suppose there is a cheap way to resurface all that built-in.
It is going to be a very delicate process to try to demo the nasty tiles in the bathroom while trying to save the travertine. Can’t believe the prior owner would do one nd not the other.
Pool coping quite dated, that’s going to need renovation. Lots of leaves in the pool, an automatic pool cover would be very nice. The landscape pretty much need a complete redo.
Yup, I say $200k additional sounds about right.
I like the bigger lots….to me, that’s the whole point of being in Rancho. Also, there is road noise and it needs a lot of fixing.
I think you can do better…but for those that don’t want a big lot (yet want to be in RSF), this is worth a look.
Personally, I liked the other one story you did a while back on the east side of the village, but walking distance. It was smaller…but same yard size, looks better inside and it’s walking distance to the village. I also believe it was cheaper.
