When my husband and I move houses, we first each make a top 10 list of must haves in our next home. We then synthesize the lists and keep the top 5 or so as criteria when we shop. Always on the list? Walkability to a Starbucks! It has worked for us, for practical/coffee drinking purposes and real estate value purposes, for 13 years so far. In fact, the husband is at said Starbucks now as I type this.
