Not to discount what was made available at the time.
For me I wouldn’t care what color renters were as long as they paid the rent in full and on time and generally took care of my place.
Pointing this out because while it was against the grain at the time to rent to anyone that didn’t look a certain way. It also says something about the renters that made things work month after month.
Totally agree. However you select your tenants is your choice. But once they get in the saddle, respect their payment history. Not all tenants pay on time or at all.
I’ll never forget the tenants who missed their their first rent. College girls who seemed trustworthy, yet had their excuses and eventually got evicted. Then a neighbor tells me at the next open house, “hey did you hear about the tenant who killed himself via shotgun?”
