Santaluz and The Crosby cater to the uber-rich, yet these Davidson-built homes at Arista appear to be somewhat affordable, compared to their Crosby brethren:

we love the Crosby’s and Santaluz. The location is perfect, and the homes beautiful. But we just can’t stomach the $1000 MR/HOA, no matter how beautiful everything is.
People in this income group are all subject to AMT, so the MR will never help with deduction. So the $12k per year is truly 100% nondeductible expense. I was looking up the depreciation rate on a Range Rover the other day. Essentially $12k per year over the first 4 years.
Buy somewhere else, and you’ll be able to pick up a new Range Rover every 4 years from the HOA/MR savings alone.
btw, the close to $200 difference monthly between Crosby’s and Santaluz is most likely the water cost. Crosby’s has a lot of maintenance cost tied into keeping up with the very green and lush HOA landscape, while Santaluz at least save a bit with the semi-arid look.
just sayin'

Very nice – Davidson quality at a very reasonable price for the Crosby. Just too bad they didn’t do 1 stories. The 1 stories at Emerald Cove @ Crosby sold VERY quickly. I personally prefer the Crosby to Santa Luz due to the lushness and being behind gates, although living behind double gates would make me a bit nervous in a major emergency.

The overall color scheme is good and I love the kitchen island, but I think the distressed cabinetry won’t be for everybody.
