   Backyard patio and 2nd floor deck are great.

   Looks interesting but what would kill it for me would be the threat of somebody building right in front of me and blocking my view.

   More sq ft than I would need, but a place like that could have some possibilities. The garage is interesting with those windows.

   When the shack next door gets torn down the new house, or perhaps new apartments/condos will destroy that view.

   I looked at a house in Carlsbad that had a nice ocean view. The house was also very dated and had a chopped up floor plan, but there were possibilities. Came to find out that the guy who owned the house on the lot below and in between the ocean and the house for sale filed to remodel and go from one story to two.

   That was the reason the people were trying to sell, but it was too late. The view is now pretty much gone – blocked by the ugliest and boxiest remodel I’ve ever seen.

   They waited too long…I don’t know if they ever did sell, or at the least, the view premium was severely affected.

   What an awful layout…as if the guy had cool ideas that looked good on the plans but didn’t translate well to the small square footage and low ceilings.
