In what might be the biggest news of the year for us, daughter Kayla has joined the Compass family in New York City! Because she still has her California real estate license, she has also joined us at the Klinge Realty Group, making KRG bi-coastal!
A few other agents from her previous brokerage also went to Compass, making the transition a little easier, plus Robert Reffkin called her personally to welcome her and spent 3-4 minutes discussing her future!
The succession plan is for Kayla to run the NYC operation, and for Natalie to take over here.

Last month we went to Madrid to see the last of the 62 sold-out shows of the Karol G worldwide tour.
On the way back, we stopped in Lisbon for a look around. It has been touted as having weather most similar to San Diego’s, and it was true. Through the Golden Visa program you can invest money and get citizenship within a few years, and the cost of living appeared to be quite lower than here. Though the cost of real estate looks familiar:
Much like with realtors, there are really good travel agents who provide valuable insight into the process. We employed a travel agent to set up the best tours, and it worked out great.
One tour took us on an e-bike ride from the beach to the top of the hill:
At the top of the hill, the travel guide said she would have a picnic set up, and I envisioned baloney sandwiches on a blanket like we did when I was a kid. Instead, we were treated to a fantastic surprise:

We will be working around Natalie’s dance career for a while, but she has been doing a tremendous job of doing just that since she began as our full-time marketing director four years ago – she even squeezed in a world tour!
While the current outlook for new realtors is fairly bleak, if anyone can make it, she can! Go Natalie!
The Latin America leg of the worldwide Karol G tour wrapped up in Brazil on Friday night, just in time for Natalie to make it home for Mother’s Day! Here are highlights from the show in Lima Peru:

For the newer readers, Donna and I have two daughters.
After Kayla graduated from the University of Oregon, she worked with us for five years and then moved to Manhattan where she’s been a realtor there for the last six years.
Natalie has always been a dancer, and she graduated from UCLA with a degree in dance. Since then, she has lived in Los Angeles doing smaller gigs in hopes they would lead to a full-blown concert tour with a major artist. She got her break last year, and has been on tour with Karol G. since August.
For those who aren’t familiar with Karol G., she has been called the latin Beyonce. The tour will conclude in Madrid, a city where she is bigger than Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift:
While it has been the dream tour of a lifetime for Natalie, it will come to an end in July (not June – the wiki clip above has the wrong month), after which she will continue to pursue her dance career. Stay tuned!
At the same time, she has also been our full-time marketing director. She authors our email newsletters and handles all of our social media accounts!
Because dance careers tend to be limited to younger people, we anticipate that Natalie will take over our business at some point. She handles Kayla’s marketing too, and if it all goes right, the future of the Klinge Realty Group will be bi-coastal and continue for decades!

We are with daughter Natalie who is on tour with Karol G. on their Latin America leg with shows in Lima, Peru this weekend. We went to Machu Picchu yesterday:
Our daughter Natalie leaves tomorrow to start the next leg of the Karol G tour, which begins in Mexico City on February 8th. They have shows in Latin/South America over the next three months, then they go to Europe for another two months!
A production company devised a few musical experiences at the 2024 Rose Parade, and our daughter Natalie was one of the dancers! The parade started with a couple of songs, and the second song was sung inside a car (Honda was the main sponsor). Natalie was in the front seat, and got terrific face time on TV!
Think your job is tough? They rehearsed from 1-6am this morning in costume!
I produced 166 YouTube videos on my main channel this year, and these were the best, as decided by me. All had to have 200+ views to qualify:
